Safari Accessories - For Hunting Africa

Safari accessories include all the small items necessary on an African hunt - gloves, sunglasses, gaiters, scarves and belts.

Gloves

It's a good idea to bring some gloves for the cold mornings or evenings especially when you are riding in the hunting truck.

Scarves

A large cotton neckerchief, bandana or scarf is useful to wear for absorbing sweat or carrying to wipe your face and neck. It also makes an emergency bandage or sling.

Belts

A strong belt is necessary for all the things hunters like to carry - ammunition pouch, knife, small first aid kit, GPS, multi-tool...the list goes on.

Hunting Gaiters

These safari accessories are essential if you wear short hunting boots. Gaiters prevent thorns, grass seeds and burrs, sand or any debris from getting into your boots. Make sure they are made of sturdy canvas and hook securely in place

Sunglasses

Take a couple of pairs of sunglasses in case one gets broken.

If you are going to a particularly dusty destination like Masailand, a pair of wraparound yellow lens glasses are very useful at dusk. You can see in the dim light and not get dust in your eyes.

If you chose to wear sunglasses while you are actually hunting, make sure they do not have shiny parts or a mirror finish.
