Getting A Visa For Portugal

EU residents do not need a visa to visit Portugal.

Visa and Passport Requirements For US and some other non-EU citizens

Portugal is a party to the Schengen Agreement. As such, US citizens for business or tourism are permitted to stay in the Schengen area for 90 days without a visa within a six-month period. The passport should be valid for at least three months beyond the period of stay. For more details about the Schengen Agreement as it affects US citizens.
